JapanSnow.cam collects live webcams, snow depth, weather and lift ticket data for ski resorts across Japan. Here is where the data comes from and how we mark unverified figures.
JapanSnow.cam is an independent site that gathers live webcams, snow depth, weather and lift ticket data for ski areas across Japan, sourced from resort announcements, meteorological data and publicly published camera feeds.
Only figures we can trace to official material are treated as confirmed; everything else is labelled estimated. A camera is marked live only when we can see it streaming, and off-season feeds say so.
The site runs in Japanese, English and Korean. Weather refreshes hourly and lift ticket prices are revised each season. Corrections are welcome.
We cover 573 ski areas and 127 live webcams in total, across Hokkaido, Nagano, Niigata, Tohoku, Gunma, Gifu, Fukui, Yamagata, Yamanashi, Shizuoka, Our introduction to Hokkaido, Our introduction to Nagano Prefecture, Our introduction to Fukushima Prefecture, Our introduction to Iwate Prefecture.
